The collage images in this painting were taken from "The Good Citizen's Handbook." I juxtaposed them with the large banana to comment on issues such as the status quo, power, and authority. Grids and the repetition of geometric shapes recur in my work as a metaphor for formulation, calculation, and sameness. |
